Understand TrafficCreator Project Status
The badge on your project shows one of five states: active (delivering now), stopped (you paused it), Paused today (today's daily cap is used up — it resumes on its own), Expired (the goal or duration was reached), and Verifying new URL (a URL change is being checked).
What Each Status Means#

| Paused today | Not something you did — the project hit its daily hit limit for the current UTC day. | Nothing. It resumes automatically at the next UTC day reset. Raise the daily limit if you want more per day. |
| Expired | The project reached its total visitor goal or its fixed duration ended. | Clone it to start a new campaign with the same settings. |
| Verifying new URL | You changed the target URL and it is being checked before delivery restarts. | Wait — Pause/Resume is disabled until the check finishes. |
Two of these trip people up:
- "Expired" is the finished state. It does not mean anything went wrong — the campaign simply reached its goal or end date. Note that the two screens disagree on wording: the Campaigns page badge reads EXPIRED, while the Recent Campaigns table on your Dashboard calls the same project COMPLETED. They are the same state.
- "Paused today" is temporary and self-healing. It is the same underlying stopped state, but caused by your daily cap rather than by you. Hovering the badge shows "Daily cap reached. Auto-resumes at the next UTC day reset."
Steps To Change Status#
- Open the project from Campaigns.
- Click More, then Pause Campaign or Resume Campaign to stop or restart delivery — refresh the page if the status badge doesn't update immediately.
- To relaunch a completed project, use Clone — this creates a new project with the same settings.
Troubleshooting#

| Project shows active but delivered is still 0 | Allow a few minutes after launch; also confirm your target URL is reachable. |
| Project switched to Expired sooner than expected | Check whether you set a low "Total Visitors" or short duration in the Volume step. Expired means the goal was met, not that it failed. |
| Badge reads Paused today and you did not pause it | This is the daily hit limit, not an error. It clears at the next UTC midnight. See How daily hit limits work. |
| Stopped project not resuming | Confirm you have remaining balance in that project's tier — a zero balance will keep it from resuming delivery. |
| Pause Campaign is greyed out in the More menu | It is disabled while a URL change is being verified, and on free-trial projects. |
| Status badge shows the old value right after clicking Pause/Resume | Refresh the page — the badge can lag behind the action until it re-fetches. |
