Find Your GA4 Measurement ID for TrafficCreator
Your GA4 Measurement ID starts with G- and is found in Google Analytics under Admin → Data Streams → [your web stream] . TrafficCreator only accepts this format — not a Google Tag Manager container ID ( GTM-... ) or a legacy Universal Analytics ID ( UA-... ).
Steps#
- In Google Analytics, go to Admin (bottom left).
- Under the Property column, select Data Streams.
- Click your website's web stream.
- Copy the Measurement ID, shown as
G-XXXXXXXXXX. - Paste it into the GA4 field when creating or editing a TrafficCreator project.
If You Only Have a GTM Container ID#
If your site uses Google Tag Manager instead of a GA4 snippet directly, use Auto-Detect in the project's GA4 field — TrafficCreator can usually resolve the underlying GA4 ID from a published GTM container automatically.
Troubleshooting#
