- Account API Rate Limits and Best Practices
Reads are GET requests. Everything else, including the cost preview, counts as a write.
- API & MCP Overview
Every Traffic Creator account can work with its campaigns outside the dashboard, in two ways:
- Authenticate Account API Requests
Send an API key from API & MCP in the X-API-KEY header on every request. All Account API paths start with https://traffic-creator.com/api/v1/account .
- Common Account API Error Messages
Error responses have a detail field: a text, or for invalid fields a list where each entry names the field ( loc ) and the problem ( msg ). Read it first: it usually names the field or check that failed.
- Connect ChatGPT to Traffic Creator
Add Traffic Creator to ChatGPT as a custom MCP server. You sign in with your Traffic Creator account; ChatGPT doesn't use API keys.
- Connect Claude Code to Traffic Creator
Claude Code can read and manage your campaigns from the terminal through the Traffic Creator MCP server.
- Connect Claude to Traffic Creator
Add Traffic Creator to Claude as a custom connector. You sign in with your Traffic Creator account; no API key needed. Once connected, it works on claude.ai, in the Claude desktop app and in the Claude mobile apps.
- Connect Codex to Traffic Creator
Codex (the CLI and the IDE extension) can read and manage your campaigns through the Traffic Creator MCP server. Both share the same settings file, ~/.codex/config.toml .
- Connect Cursor, VS Code and Other MCP Clients
Any MCP client that connects to remote servers over Streamable HTTP and can either sign in with OAuth or send an Authorization header can connect to Traffic Creator:
- Create and Manage Campaigns by API
All paths start with https://traffic-creator.com/api/v1/account and need a full-access key in the X-API-KEY header (reading and the cost preview work with a read-only key).
- Fix Problems with AI Assistants and the API
Find the message or symptom you see. Most problems are about access (sign-in, key, read only) or about the campaign itself (balance, GA4, clicks).
- What AI Assistants Can Do in Your Account
When you connect an AI assistant to Traffic Creator, it gets a fixed set of tools. It can only use them in your own account, and only with the access you chose: Full access or Read only .
