What Is a Referrer?
A referrer is the source a visitor arrived from — a search engine, another website, a social platform, or no referrer at all (a direct visit).
Why It Matters In TrafficCreator#
TrafficCreator's Traffic Source setting controls how delivered visits present themselves — for example, as Direct — which affects how they attribute in your GA4 Acquisition reports.
Example#
A project with Traffic Source set to Direct will show up in GA4 as direct traffic rather than attributed to a referring site.
